

Jean-Nicolas is a Lecturer at the Dept. of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science and affiliated to the university's Centre for Geographical Information Systems (GIS Centre).
With 25 years of international experience, including leadership roles at the United Nations Environment Programme and the European Environment Agency, Jean-Nicolas has a strong background in managing global networks and capacity building initiatives.
At Lund University, he teaches GIS, coordinates the Joint Erasmus+ MSc in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management (MSc. GEM), and contributes to the development of relevant and attractive educational programmes and conditions as Deputy Director of Studies for the Department.
Jean-Nicolas is also on the Board of the South Swedish Geographical Society (SSGS).

- 2023-2026: Project Manager for Horizon Europe project "Attributing and Verifying European and National Greenhouse Gas and Aerosol Emissions and Reconciliation with Statistical Bottom-up Estimates (AVENGERS);
