Swedish Climate Symposium 2026
We’re excited to announce that the third Swedish Climate Symposium will take place 20–22 May 2026, hosted this time in Lund under the theme “Climate Research: Science, Society, Actions”.
This symposium brings together researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders from across Sweden to deepen our understanding of climate change and explore pathways for action. The 2026 edition will focus on climate research under three interconnected pillars:
Science: We are creating a symposium to improve the scientific understanding of climate change and to identify existing knowledge gaps and research needs.
Society: We promote reflection, interaction, and the exchange of experiences between academia and societal actors. Together, we explore how findings from climate research can be used to better understand the challenges facing the environment and society.
- Action: We explore the direct and indirect climate-related challenges facing Sweden and how to act on these challenges, both through climate adaptation and emissions reduction.
