At the department level we cannot answer general questions, and neither can we say anything about your eligibility, as this is handled centrally. But we can help you find the right information if needed and provide you with info about our education.

Information about entry requirements

Please note that also the Admissions Office at Lund University is not able to give you a preliminary assessment. A decision regarding your eligibility will be made once you have made an application and submitted required documents.

Eligibility

All applicants to programs at the Department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem science need general admission requirements, and in most cases English language profiency. For eligibility to our bachelor program you need to fulfill the general admission requirements, as well as have taken courses equivalent to the following Swedish upper secondary school programmes:

  • Mathematics level 4 in combination with Biology 1, Physics 1, Chemistry 1 or,
  • Mathematics level 4 and level 2, in two of the three subjects just mentioned above.

Specific requirements for our Masters programs are courses equivalent to a bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) in natural sciences or engineering.

The admission process at Lund University is centralized and at a department level we have very little to no influence on the decisions of eligibility. Therefore, we are not at liberty to judge criteria for eligibility from different countries. At the University Admissions website there are all information you need, this is also where you should turn for questions about eligibility to courses and programmes.

Summary sheet

If you are applying for a Masters’ program you need to fill in a summary sheet. Links to this document are posted on the appropriate all program pages, and are also listed here.

The summary sheets and other documentation must be uploaded att universityadmissions.se. It should be in English. Summary sheets can be found for download on the following programme pages in the "how to apply" section and "programme-specific documents":
