I am involved in research projects investigating climate change and nutrient balances in forest (combining measurements and ecosystem modelling) in Sweden (e.g. CLEO - Climate effects on environmental objectives, and BECC - Biodiversity and Ecosystem services in a Changing Climate).
Another research area of mine is climate and anthropogenic interactions in a long time perspective where I am especially interested in the carbon cycle and how it interacts with the climate system, based on my PhD Thesis (see below) and in connection with LUCCI (Lund Centre for Studies of Carbon Cycle and Climate Interactions).and MERGE (ModElling the Regional and Global Earth system).
I am also teaching within especially climatology, climate change and biodiversity in courses within our department (NGEA01, NGEA07, NGEA21, NGEN01), at the Geology department (GEOB21), at the Centre for Environmental and Climate Research (MVEA01, MVEN15) and at LTH Environmental Engineering (EXTA01), as well as at SLU Alnarp (TN0327). I am also supervising Bachelor and Master thesis projects (e.g. Modelling nitrogen balance in Swedish forests). Moreover, I occasionally do climate related presentations outside the academia, e.g. for high school students, and I am an active member of the Transfer network between schools and professionals.
