Education - All courses - Spatial analysis
The course aims to equip students with fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the methods of spatial analysis.

Topics covered include correlations (relationships) within and between geographical data sets, regression methods, geostatistics, scaling issues affecting spatial analysis and geographic data, and the theory behind spatial decision support systems.

Credits: 7.5 higher education credits

Course period: Spring 1

Language of instruction: English

Prerequisites:
Basic admission requirements and courses corresponding to at least 90 higher education points within engineering/science with at least 30 of these points within Geographic Information Science or its equivalent. Additional requirements include fundamental knowledge of statistics that is equivalent to the contents of NGEA07 (Theory and Methods of Physical Geography), or GISN02 – GIS and Statistical Analysis.
