There is now an alternative entry option into this Bachelor´s programme for those students whose qualification do not meet with the standard requirements. Please note that this option is applicable only to Swedish.

Students with alternative admission start with basic courses in natural sciences during their first term. They complement their knowledge of chemistry, physics and mathematics as well as biology, geology, environmental science and physical geography.

After the special introduction term, students then proceed to study the normal courses that make up the Bachelor´s programme in Physical Geography and Ecosystem Analysis.

During the courses students are able to choose from the following specialisations: Environmental and climate systems, Global environmental questions and global cycles, Climatology and climatic change, Ecosystems analysis, Biogeophysics, Methods of environmental analysis, GIS with a specialisation in environmental questions, Remote sensing with a specialisation in environmental questions, Geomorphology.

Several courses in the Bachelor´s programme are given in English.

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree representing 180 ECTS in scientific or technical subjects. When a student is accepted onto the programme s/he is guaranteed a place on all courses on condition that s/he fulfils the particular entry requirements for each course.

Job Market: The program leads to several different professional roles. These could be, for instance, work with climate and water issues, nature conservation planning in a local authority, foreign aid work, EU related issues, handling of data and development of analytical methods etc.
